This option allows you to export each of your Groove IM message as one seperate RTF (RichText) file which you can view in Microsoft Word or Wordpad.
If you have only few messages to export, this is useful option. However if you have hundreds or thousands of IMs to export, we recommend that you review other options.
You can choose different format for your file names by checking Advanced Options checkbox at the start of the wizard. More information is provided in how to choose names of saved files topic.
Once you select folder and (if you had checked Show Advanced Options checkbox) choose the format for your message file names, you will be taken to attachment options screen.
After you choose the folder where you wish to save your message attachments, you are ready to begin the export process.
The name of the each file is choosen from the content of the IM message in following way:
DateTime-MessageText-Sender-Count.rtf
Following is the sample of how exported files looks like in Windows Explorer. Please note that the files other then Word files are exported attachments:
Here's the sample exported message. Notice that all your original formatting and even images inside IMs is preserved. Also you see some extra information which is the result of checking Include Full Headers checkbox and Show Advanced Options checkbox at the start.
